Welcome!  We're so glad you're joining us!!

We were looking for our own trail challenge for 2022 and ended up coming up with this for ourselves.  Then we thought...why not share it!?!

We want to give you a couple of resources and tools that may be helpful as you start your #200onTrails adventure!!

We have a created a FREE miles tracker for you where you can log the date, location, and any notes about your trail miles!

Bonus: it automatically adds your miles, so you can easily track you progress.  Look mom! No math!!

We're also including Taylor's guide to hiking books in and around Asheville!

We have found that having a good trail guide book is helpful for choosing where you want to go!  Then using a digital trail map like All Trails to check more recent conditions can be helpful!

But there's so many from which to choose!  This guide to guides will help you choose a couple of favorites!

A few Rules...

Here are the rules for the challenge: There are no rules!

1) What is a trail?
It is up to you.  Do you like to be out in the backwoods? Awesome!  Do you need a paved sidewalk for mobility?  Get it!  We want you to participate in the way that works for you.  (Our personal goal: earth not concrete under out feet)

2) How long do I have to complete the challenge?
There's no time period. 6 months, 1 year, 2 years.  Do what works for you.  The only thing we recommend is to enjoy it.  Don't go so fast that you can't soak it in.  (Our personal goal: one year)

3) How do I connect with others in the challenge?
Use the hashtag #200onTrails and we will cheer you on.  Follow the tag and you can cheer others on too.  Sharing what we're working on with our friends and community makes us stronger!
The whole reason we made this up is to create a space to enjoy the outdoors and take some time in nature to reset ourselves.  We both have found that we have better mental health when we spend more time in nature and we want to share that with you.
